I started out like many others,American dream bs.Done with all that turning 41 in a few days,money is not important to me ,being happy is.What beaches provide the most for the least amount of money?I have a fishing pole.I dont live to work but work to live,and have a cheerful dispostion,very positive. whew! lifes short i want to live it my way.any suggestions on where to start?Baja?

Being a teacher is one of the greatest jobs. Not only do you get to educate the next generation, you get summers off.

I am a teacher during the school year and a lifeguard/bartender at the beach during the summer. Best life anyone could ask for. I have some friends who are firefighters in beach towns. 24 hours on, then 24 hours off to beach it. Later dudes

Why not?! My aunt and uncle moved down to Florida from Rhode Island. Although he misses the New England cold water fishing, he loves the warm weather.

I was in a long term relationship (14) that went no where!! 2 babies later I am ready to make the transistion into a carefree lifestyle. I have the opportunity to live on an Isle in SW Florida and I get consumed by fera on most days. It’s not so much about going as it is about packing up 46 years of my life. But what I’ve figured is that the only way to do it….is just to do it!!! I have submitted some job applications and gotten responses. Also the school systems are fanstastic for my girls! My father is there. Why not go??!!

I hear you. Fear is a biggie. It keeps us doing things we hate (not that I hate the things I do), it keeps us from being the best. The good thing about fear though, is that usually it isn’t grounded in reality. Most of the things we are scared about never happen.

Now that it is getting cold, I really would like to go south to the Caribbean, and just live on the beach.

I have the very same feelings you have about this beach bum thing. I am a web developer, song writer and artist. I should be on the beach not in the cool clear north in an office. Why don’t I just pack my bags get on my motorbike and ride south? Fear that’s why, it’s all about fear.
