It is an annual that is a member of the hibiscus family. It is a tropical plant and gets beautiful flowers and a few days later, the seed pod can be cut off and eaten. I have TONS of it growing in my garden at the firehouse. I have planted some out front as an ornamental. If you do not get a dwarf hybrid, it can get as tall as 8 feet. The dwarf varieties usually do not get taller than 6 feet.

You could grow Okra. It is an annual that is a member of the hibiscus family.
