Porthemmet Beach in Cornwall England

Apparently there is a beach in Cornwall, England that is supposed to be the best beach in the UK. Because of a Gulf Stream current, the water is very warm and makes Porthemmet Beach almost tropical. (Does this explain the palm trees in the picture?) From diving to surfing to great beach life and food, Porthemmet beach has it all. Unspoiled land, dolphin pods, rare birds, how could anyone not know about this?

The people in Cornwall know all about it, but will say they have no idea what you are talking about if you ask them. But just keep trying, they’ll eventually tell you where to go. The website even gives you all of the slang used by the locals so you can fit in.

Unfortunately, for those planning on making Porthemmet beach their next vacation trip, it doesn’t exist. Sorry, just a joke by Cornwall locals to annoy the tourists.
