Hurricanes and Your Caribbean Vacation. Hurricane Proof Your Trip.

Here is an article from USA Today about how to hurricane proof your vacation
to the Caribbean, Jamaica, the Gulf Coast or most anywhere. It can be a problem. I know that for me, my friends, my wife and I are going down to Jamaica in the off season, which starts in June through about September sometime. That is when the best deals are, it is also hurricane season. Now last year there were supposed to be a butt load of storms, but there weren’t. So I’m hoping that it’s the same this year.

You can buy travel insurance for 5% – 7% of your trip that will help for rescheduling. But without that, some places won’t. Being June, it’s the beginning of the season, so hopefully that means not to much storm activity. But you better believe that I’ll be watching the weather closely.
